Honey bees may swarm anytime during the warm months, though typically in the spring or early summer. A swarm is a ball-like mass of bees, generally seen in the open air hanging from a tree limb, in a bush, or attached to a building. If you see one, please contact the following Leatherstocking Swarm Catchers.

A Cut-Out (or Bee Removal) is the process of removing a colony of bees that have established a home inside of the wall of a structure such as a house or barn. Colonies of bees in such locations should always be removed if they pose a threat to persons because of allergy or proximity to human traffic. Newly established colonies inside of structures have a low likelihood of survival past the first winter. Performing a cut-out usually requires some carpentry and significant labor so there may be a charge for this.
